While Speck Dat Charters yielded the most fish I have ever caught, long before the bite began, my wife and I knew we were in for a treat. From the moment we arrived, Captain Brad was the paragon of southern hospitality. The boat was already pristine clean, stocked, and ready when we pulled up. The excitement built as we were treated to a brisk and scenic cruise traversing portions of Lake Catherine, Lake Pontchartrain, Chef Pass, and Lake Borgne. Brad worked smart and hard until he located the perfect spot for us to haul in speckled trout, white trout, redfish, black drum, and more. Meanwhile, our captain continued tirelessly to adjust our position and re-bait our hooks to keep things moving and keep the excitement high. A consummate host and great conversationalist, he provided a trove of information on species, geographic points of interest, and other nuances of the experience to keep things exciting and enriching, yet chill and relaxed. Look no further for your next charter adventure. Captain Brad and his hand-crafted operation have that attention to customer service that'll have you telling all your friends and wanting to keep coming back.

I've lost track of how many times I've used Capt Brad - he never disappoints. We always come home with a full cooler and good memories. Probably the best compliment is that every time I bring someone new with me, they tell me that they're going to book him again. There's a reason his calendar is full!

Captain Brad and Speck Dat Charters was top notch! I booked a trip for myself, my wife, and three kids ( ages 13, 9, 5) and was hoping the family could have a fun time on the water and maybe catch a few fish. Captain Brad was super! He went above and beyond to make sure all of us were enjoying the trip. As for the fishing.....well I think the team boated 9 or 10 different species, went through about 300 shrimp, had a cooler full of fillets, and memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you Capt. Brad for an awesome trip!

What an amazing fishing charter! Captain Brad was top tier. We went as a family of four with very little fishing experience. My 7 yo son has been begging to go fishing. He's only been fishing once from shore, so we arranged a charter with Speck Dat to cap off the summer and get us all more comfortable fishing as a family. Captain Brad was on it! He spent so much time with my son and daughter, showing them how to operate their reels, coaching them on what to do when they get a bite, and getting them baited up. My son was even interested in the bait and the cleaning/filleting of the fish. Captain Brad picked right up on my son's interests and let him scoop the bait from the cooler and kept him entertained during the cleaning and filleting. It's rare as a family that mom and dad get to fully partake in the activity. I'm used to having to stop what I'm doing to help the kiddos out. Not on this outing. Captain Brad was right there every single time to help the kids when they needed assistance casting, baiting, and reeling. He was right there when my husband and I needed fresh bait or pointers. When the fish weren't biting, we moved right along to a new spot and used multiple fishing methods. The weather was great, the fishing was great, the captain was great, the entire day was fantastic! My kids have already been out fishing in the neighborhood twice since we got back from our trip. We will most definitely be booking another trip with Speck Dat in the future!

Amazing trip with Capt. Brad w/ Speck Dat Charters!!!! Bite was a little slow and still had limit of Reds before noon. Capt Brad coached me as this trout fisherman perfected my Red-fishing technique! Highly recommend!!!

I've used Capt Brad multiple times, and he never disappoints. White trout, specks, reds, and a flounder - enough to feed a small army. Highly recommend him and will continue to come back.

Captain Brad was amazing! Super fun guy who put us on a TON of fish. He is extremely knowledgeable and is happy to "talk shop" about locations/tides/baits/patterns with experienced anglers. He is also very accommodating for inexperienced anglers, making sure they are casting to the right areas with the right presentation. This was a superb multi-species trip and I would recommend Captain Brad to anyone visiting the area. 6 out of 5 stars for going above & beyond! Thanks for a great day on the water.
