Took my Grandsons, 12,13, & 15. This was our 4th trip with Cap’n Brad. He is so patient with the boys & they always say each trip was the best ever! Once we booked with another charter & now understand why we are committed to 3 - 4 trips with Cap’n Brad a year. We recommend Cap’n Brad & Speck Dat for everyone & I am a seasoned salt water angler myself.

Fantastic trip with Capt. Brad! Forecast was horrible but he managed to keep us dry most of the day and put us right on the fish. Very personable and friendly, top notch equipment, and nobody works harder than him on the water when the fish turn on and the action gets chaotic. From trying to bait every hook, to unhooking every fish, to making sure everyone is having a great time, Capt. Brad absolutely exceeded all of our expectations for our trip. Will definitely be at the top of our list for future bookings!

This was our second trip with Captain Brad. Our first was with four people and this review reflects that December 2025 trip, too. First, Capt. Brad is just an awesome guy. Family guy. Easy to talk to. Great attitude and is all about making sure his guests have a great experience. We are experienced fishermen, but Brad still takes care of everything. Not only did we catch tons of fish of all species - Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Blue Catfish, White Trout, Flounder, etc. - but Brad really knows the local waters and makes sure we have the right balance of staying the right amount of time on a slow spot and moving to hot spots. This recipe of knowledge, patience, and instincts on when to make a move has resulted in both trips being full of active, action-packed fishing. He is our go-to-captain in New Orleans and we will certainly be fishing with him in the years to come. I can't recommend him highly enough.

We fish a lot, and capt Brad is an excellent guide. Conditions were tough, but he kept running and gunning, and we ended up with a boat full of fish. Great day, can’t say enough about Speckdat Charters!

I can’t say enough about Captain Brad. Coming from Saskatchewan the weather was much better than we were used to so the cold and wind didn’t bother us at all. The cold front made him work, but he put us on fish at every stop. The variety of fish we were able to get was amazing to us, something much different than we are used to in our lakes. Thanks again for the trip, if we ever get back here again I’ll be giving him a call.
